Denise Brown originally from Lancashire, England has been living in East Clare for the last 15 years. Inspired by musicals in her childhood and her mothers performance as  community entertainer and  having grown up influenced by soul and rock music in her teenage years, Denise evolved as a woman influenced profoundly by Joni Mitchell. It has been said that Denise’s voice has a ‘Joni’ quality from her folk years.  All the songs on Denise’s first album ‘Ebb and flow’ are original and composed over the last 4 years in East Clare in collaboration with local performer and producer Tommy Hayes
