Skin is orange/yellow, with a scarlet flush, heavily russetted. Flesh is greenish white, crisp an juicy with a spicy flavour. The Crofton family introduced the Crofton apples into Ireland in the late 1500's, and lived in Longford House, Co. Sligo.
