Japanese wineberry €5.00 (JW)
A species of raspberry, native to northern China. A perennial plant which bears biennial stems or canes. Height can reach 1-3m in the first year, producing flowers in the late spring. The fruit is orange or red produced in late summer, the canes have fine red thorns, which appear like red hairs. Self-propagates from self-layering enjoying moist soil near wooded areas.
